MORE FRUSTRATION FOR CRAIG

Posted on: Wed 17 Nov 2004

Short has picked up a hamstring injury

CRAIG Short's 'stop-start' season continues as he was forced out of the action at Molineux last night.

The key defender picked up a hamstring injury just before half-time in the Premiership match against Wolves at Molineux and was replaced by Nissa Johansson.

Graeme Souness described the injury as 'not a bad one' and the club medical team will assess it today.

Craig, however, will almost certainly miss Saturday's Ewood derby with Bolton Wanderers and is a doubt for the trip to Manchester City the following Saturday.

It's another blow for Craig who missed the first three months of the season recovering from knee surgery. Then, having established himself back in the side, missed matches over the Christmas period with a chest infection.

The injury further stretches Rovers' resources at a time when critical matches are looming.

Fellow defender Andy Todd missed last night's match with a calf injury but is expected to befit to face his former club, Bolton Wanderers, on Saturday.

He will, though, miss the Manchester City game through suspension.

Rovers World will bring you match highlights and post match reaction from last night's match later today.
