GRAEME Souness chose to let Tony Parkes do the talking after Rovers' late equaliser from Markus Babbel gained a share of the spoils in an exciting match at Ewood Park.
Babbel opened the scoring for Rovers after three minutes, arriving in the box to head home, and after Juninho had scored a goal in each half, the German international arrived in the nick of time to head in a second for a vital point.
"One point is better than none," said Assistant boss Tony Parkes after the game.
"When you score late in the game it always seems it is a bit more than what you've actually got.
"We've scored from two set plays today and Markus Babbel has done fantastic for us.
"I think we had a lot of play in the second half, things just wouldn't drop for us, but Middlesbrough defended well.
"Our lads hung in there and didn't give in and probably got what they deserved at the end of it."
