ROVERS have confirmed that Romanian striker Adrian Ilie has been invited to train with the squad this week.

The experienced international, nicknamed 'The Cobra' is to spend several days at Brockhall as Rovers' management team have a good look at him.

Ilie is currently out of contract, having left Alaves in the summer, and is hoping to follow friend and fellow Romanina Adrian Mutu, now with Chelsea, into the Premiership.

The 29 year-old striker's former clubs include Valencia and Galatasaray.
