Gresko - Expected to sign soon

ROVERS today received news that a work permit has been granted to Vratislav Gresko.

Club officials have been at a hearing in Sheffield arguing the case for the Slovakian defender who spent five months last season on loan at Ewood Park from FC Parma.

Since then, terms have been agreed between the two clubs to secure a permanent deal, pending the work permit.

Chief executive John Williams said: "It's good news for all concerned. We are now hopeful that we can push through the paperwork and complete the signing on Friday."
