GRABBI TO HEAD HOME?

Posted on: Wed 17 Nov 2004
CICCIO Grabbi could be on his way out of Ewood Park and heading back to Italy.

Grabbi is being linked with a move to Napoli, who are known to be keen to recruit a new striker and are managed by the Rovers striker's former manager at Ternana.

Paolo Di Canio, currently a free agent, is another name in the frame.

Grabbi hardly featured on the first team scene last season and is well down the pecking order behind the likes of Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke and Egil Ostenstad.

Add to that the fact that Rovers are hopeful that Matt Jansen will be back in contention for the forthcoming campaign, plus the emergence of young starlet Paul Gallagher, and it is not hard to understand that Rovers might be ready to listen to offers for Grabbi.
