Rovers' Carling Cup date

The date for Rovers' Carling Cup 3rd round tie against Aston Villa has now been confirmed.

Sam Allardyce will once again take his side to Villa Park for the third round clash on Wednesday 22nd September with a 7.45pm kick-off.

The two sides met five times last season, in the league, the FA Cup and of course the memorable double-header in the Carling Cup semi-final.

Ticketing information for the game will be released shortly.
