Striker Maceo Rigters has joined Netherlands Eredivisie side Willem II on loan.

The former Dutch under 21 international has returned to his homeland to sign for the Tilburg club on a season long loan.

Top scorer at the 2007 Euro under 21 championships, Rigters joined Rovers on a four-year deal from NAC Breda but has struggled to break into the first team, having loan spells at Norwich City and Barnsley.

Ended last season at Rovers as top scorer for the Reserves and started the new season for Iain Brunskill's second string by grabbing the opening goal in their first league game of the new campaign.
