No points to show for fine performances

Posted on: Mon 30 Aug 2010

Despite three decent displays from their first three 2010-11 Barclays Premier League campaign, manager Sam Allardyce believes Rovers should have more points to show for it.

Saturday's defeat at home to Arsenal was a closely fought contest, Rovers losing out to Andrey Arshavin's second half strike, but it is still the loss at Birmingham City the weekend before the irks the manager the most.

"We are now paying the bigger price for not getting anything against Birmingham City," Sam told Radio Rovers.

"We have had three good performances but have only three points to show for it and that is really the disappointing side for us.

"We've ended up with two defeats on the trot which we should have had, we should be sat with four or five points.

"The performances have been good, but the points tally is unacceptable."
