Sam Allardyce was delighted with the result as Rovers safely booked their place in the 3rd round of the Carling Cup.
It was a hat-trick from loan signing Mame Biram DIouf who secured the 3-1 win over Norwich City, but whilst it ended up a comfortable night, Allardyce felt that his Rovers side should have more goals to show for their endeavours.
"It was obviously a comfortable performance by the way we played," Sam told Radio Rovers after the game.
"We got the one goal in the first half and it should have been more, then had a bad spell after we scored and Norwich came into the game a little bit.
"Then I think as the second half progressed we started to probe more and more and that spell just before we scored the second was one of the best attacking and constant pressures we've put on any team for a long time.
"We kept on at them and I think it was down to our poor finishing and some luck from Norwich that we didn't score the second earlier.
"But when we did score it was a free header from Morten which was blocked and Mame had to knock it in.
"We were even more free flowing after that and then Mame scored one on the far post and he's got a hat-trick.
"So we've had a really good night, there's only Gael Givet who has dislodged a tooth but I don't think he'll be a problem for Saturday and some good performances all round."
The draw takes place this Saturday lunchtime on Sky's Soccer Saturday programme.
