Rovers will be without four key senior players for the visit of Norwich City in Tuesday's Carling Cup encounter.
David Dunn (groin), Vince Grella (calf), Pascal Chimbonda (broken nose) and Keith Andrews (groin) are all absent for the second round clash, leaving manager Sam Allardyce with an easier squad selection than he had hoped for.
Speaking ahead of the match against the Canaries, Allardyce said: "The team selection isn't a difficult one because it is about playing the players who are in the first team but not playing at this moment in time.
"We are not blooding as many youngsters in terms of no experience as we did last year, we are blooding a few at the younger end but they've already had Premier League experience, never mind Carling Cup experience.
"The might be only one that we might consider to play who hasn't much experience, but everyone else will have had plenty of experience either in cup competitions or in the Premier League.
"The disruption will be in changing the side a little bit might change the flow of the team that is what we'll have to try and focus on today for tomorrow's game. In keeping the flow and keeping the system working to it's full potential and hopefully getting us through to the next round by winning at Ewood Park."
With this in mind, Allardyce is expected to choose from: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Nelsen, Givet, EH Diouf, Nzonzi, Jones, Pedersen, Olsson, Kalinic, Bunn, Fielding, Jacobsen, Hoilett, Judge, Morris, MB Diouf, Hanley, Linganzi, Doran.
