Rovers defender Phil Jones has received his first call up to the England Under-21s.
The 18-year-old is one of four new faces in Stuart Pearce's 19-man squad for next Tuesday's international against Uzbekistan.
Rovers goalkeeper Frank Fielding has also been selected for the game at Bristol City's Ashton Gate.
Jones burst onto the scene at Ewood Park last season with a man-of-the-match display against Chelsea on his Premier League debut in March.
He went on to make a further eight first team appearances, as Sam Allardyce's side stormed to a top ten finish.
Speaking to TheFA.com, Pearce said: "Phil Jones did fantastically well at the back end of last season at Blackburn.
"Anyone who gets in and plays in the Premier League has got to be taken seriously. He's still a very young player."
