Posted on: Sat 24 Jul 2010

ROVERS have arrived Down Under as they prepare to take part in the inaugural Sydney Festival of Football.

Sam Allardyce's side are representing the Barclays Premier League in a competition that includes Scottish champions Rangers, Greek side AEK Athens and A-League title holders Sydney FC.

Departing Thursday afternoon, the team finally touched down on Australian soil at 6am on Saturday morning in advance of the four team tournament.

The players and coaches were quick to sample the sights as they travelled to the world famous Bondi Beach to take part in some light fitness work.
