SAM Allardyce has a few pre-season injury concerns as he prepares a squad for a game for the second time in 24 hours.

Fresh from their 3-0 defeat at the hands of Preston North End on Tuesday evening, this Wednesday night sees Rovers cross the Pennines to take on Huddersfield Town at the Galpharm Stadium.

Chris Samba, Niko Kalinić and Jason Roberts missed the Deepdale clash through injury, whilst Martin Olsson lasted just 19 minutes against Preston before being forced off.

Even though the squad is down on numbers, it isn't too much of a concern for the Rovers boss, particularly as he'll soon be able to call upon those players who were away on World Cup duty.

"We've got a few injuries with Niko Kalinić, Chris Samba and Jason Roberts at the moment, and now Martin Olsson who had to come off with a little bit of tendonitis in the knee," revealed Allardyce.

"So we'll have to keep an eye on those players, we don't think they are too serious.

"We've been feeding back Morten as he had been away with Norway for a considerable time and we've been doing the same with Michel Salgado.

"Lars Jacobsen and Vince Grella have just got back with us whilst Brett Emerton and Ryan Nelsen will join us out in Australia.

"So once we get everyone back together in Australia then we'll start forging our way forward in terms of technical and tactical play."

Fans can pay on the door at the Galpharm Stadium this Wednesday evening. Prices are £12 for Adults, £7 for Students and Seniors 65 and over, whilst Juniors under 16 can see the game for £3. Rovers Player subscribers will be able to listen to full match commentary of the game.

This evening's match is Rovers' last on home soil before they embark on a ten day trip to Australia where they play games against Rangers, AEK Athens and Sydney FC.
