Rovers and Australia midfielder Vince Grella believes the Netherlands can continue their strong form and claim their first World Cup title.
Speaking after the Netherlands defeated Uruguay 3-2 on Tuesday evening, Grella believes the Dutch team has the right balance to go all the way and lift the trophy in South Africa.
"Holland have worked well as a unit all tournament and I think they will be very, very tough to beat come the final" said Grella.
"They are very well drilled, have speed on the flanks and in form striker in Wesley Sneijder that can bang goals in from anywhere. I think they are certainly the team to beat".
After briefly returning to Brockhall to have checks on the knee injury picked up during the World Cup, Grella is now back in Australia and will join up with the rest of the Rovers squad towards the end of the month when they travel to Australia to take part in the inaugural Sydney Festival of Football.
Rovers are part of the four team round robin tournament set to commence at the Sydney Football Stadium on Sunday, July 25, something Grella can't wait to be involved in.
"I'm really looking forward to playing in Sydney against some of the biggest clubs in the world." Grella added. "AEK Athens and Rangers have dominated their respective leagues for decades and Sydney FC are obviously the reigning A-League champions so I think fans will see a really competitive tournament."
"The Barclays Premier League kicks off two weeks after the Sydney Festival of Football and I for one will be giving it all to make sure I'm a part of the managers plans for the upcoming season".
Tickets for the Sydney Festival of Football are available now through the Ticketek website with Adult prices starting from just AUS$29.
