Pre-season plans start to take shape

Blackburn Rovers can confirm the first three pre-season matches for Sam Allardyce's side.

As the club put the finishing touches on their 2010-11 pre-season programme, three games are so far confirmed, with more to be announced in due course.

The players return to first team training at the end of June before heading to southern Austria for a training camp. The last day of which marks their first pre-season game when they take on Austrian Bundesliga side SK Sturm Graz at the UPC-Arena on Saturday 10th July with a 5pm local time kick-off.

On returning to home soil Rovers then have games against two Lancashire sides.

Blues Square Premier new boys Fleetwood Town are the opposition for Rovers on Saturday 17th July, with a 3.00pm kick-off at the Highbury Stadium.

Three days later sees Rovers return to a popular pre-season venue, Deepdale, for a friendly match against Preston North End.

The game against Darren Ferguson's side takes place on Tuesday 20th July with a 7.45pm kick-off.

Ticketing information for the above games will follow in due course. Further pre-season friendly matches will be announced only when confirmed.
