Posted on: Thu 13 May 2010

Rovers' stars Ryan Nelsen and Brett Emerton were the guests of honour at the Community Trust's presentation evening.

The World Cup-bound duo were on hand last week to celebrate the achievements of attendees of daytime and after-school programmes at Ewood Park.

Providing young people with the chance to experience a wide range of imaginative learning activities in a stimulating environment, an increasing number of learners from schools, colleges and community organisations throughout Lancashire and beyond benefit each year from participation in the wide range of programmes on offer at Rovers' Education Department.

Ryan and Brett presented awards to youngsters from within Blackburn and Darwen who participated in the Playing for Success, Double Club, Game On, Goal, On Side, Pitching In and Intercept initiatives.
