SAM Allardyce welcomes back Niko Kalinić into his squad for the final game of the season on Sunday, away at Villa Park and could be set to unleash another potential star in the making.
The Croatian missed last Monday's 2-1 victory over Arsenal after picking up a knock in training, but will be fit to return to the scene where he scored two goals in the Carling Cup back in January.
But the other absentees from last Monday, Steven Nzonzi and El-Hadji Diouf remain on the sidelines.
Sam Allardyce isn't expected to tinker too much with the side that did so well in the win over Arsenal, but he has hinted that he could give a debut to at least one player, expected to be 20-year-old midfielder Amine Linganzi.
"There'll certainly be one player that will play that has had limited experience, if no experience at all," revealed Sam on Friday morning.
"I think it is a necessary need to test at least one of our players that looks like they might be good enough.
"Based on that it isn't going to weaken the side too much, but it is going to give someone the opportunity to play football in the first team just to see where he's at.
"We think he's ready and based on this years experience the young lads haven't failed to impressed.
"Right from the start we had Steven Nzonzi, then Niko Kalinić, Martin Olsson and Junior Hoilett, and then of course Phil Jones has emerged. All young newcomers that have shown they can play at that level.
"So I think it is time to try at least one more for the last game and I don't think that will weaken the side too much.
"The rest of the team will be the strongest we've got available."
With this in mind, the Rovers boss is expected to select from: Robinson, Salgado, Samba, Nelsen, Givet, Pedersen, Andrews, Grella, Olsson, Dunn, Roberts, Brown, Jacobsen, Emerton, Linganzi, Basturk, Kalinić, Hoilett, Di Santo, Jones, Hanley, Chimbonda.
