Rovers 'keeper
Paul Robinson admits it's a relief to be at a club without any off-the-field financial distractions.
Earlier this season, Portsmouth became the first Premier League club to enter administration, whilst the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United operate with huge debts.
But Robbo insists that Rovers go about the things the right way and the foundations are in place for an exciting future.
He said: "At Leeds it was a club that was grossly mismanaged, whereas here it is a club that is on a sound financial footing.
"The Academy buildings and the training ground here have been very soundly run for a number of years now.
"You can see the young players coming through, along with the blend of experience, so the future is looking good for this football club.
"I'd rather have this football club in the Premier League as long as the Premier League exists than one or two seasons where we spend everything that we've got and end up in division three.
"This football club aims to build on a sound basis and we've got a very clever manager in the transfer market who won't overspend and will wheel and deal as he needs to.
"As much as he's rejuvenated older player's careers in the past, he's also brought a lot of young ones on as well.
"There are a lot of clubs that are in financial trouble and that overspend against things that maybe they can't afford to pay off.
"So to be at a club that is not surrounded by those problems means we don't have that distraction.
"I think we can achieve a solid Premier League football team for years to come. With the addition of a couple of players, there's no reason why we can't push on to the top half of the league and maybe have an outside shot of the European places."
