Checks for trio

Posted on: Mon 12 Apr 2010

ROVERS will today assess the injuries sustained to three players during Sunday's goalless draw with Manchester United.

Chris Samba picked up a groin strain during the first half at Ewood Park, needing to be replaced by Ryan Nelsen just past the half hour stage.

Midfielder Brett Emerton lasted slightly longer, but a tightening hamstring meant the Australian didn't reappear in the second half.

Rovers' third substitution was also due to injury, Martin Olsson unable to continue after a crunching tackle, the Swede sustaining an ankle knock and a dead leg in the process.

With a clear week until next Saturday's Ewood clash against Everton, all three players will hopefully have enough recovery time to feature.

Tickets for Saturday's match against Everton are currently on open sale. Reserve your seat today at www.onerovers.co.uk or call 0871 222 1444.
