AARON Doran was on the scoresheet for the Republic of Ireland in a friendly match on Tuesday evening.

The Rovers winger lined up for Sean McCaffrey's under 19 side in the first of two friendly matches against Poland this week.

Leading at the break, Ireland's lead was doubled when Doran tapped home after a fine move. Poland rallied with two late goals, but Ireland ran out comfortable 4-2 winners.

Doran featured for 68 minutes, whilst fellow Rover Gavin Gunning played the last 20 minutes.

The two sides face each other again this Thursday at Tolka Park.
