Phil Jones makes his Barclays Premier League debut this afternoon as Sam makes four changes from the side that faced Tottenham last weekend.
The 18-year-old stopper has played in the FA Cup and the Carling Cup this season, but makes his league now at Ewood against Chelsea.
Keith Andrews, El-Hadji Diouf also return to the starting line-up with Brett Emerton and Pascal Chimbonda dropping to the bench.
The other change is in goal as Jason Brown replaces the injured Paul Robinson.
