Time to crack away results

Posted on: Sat 27 Feb 2010

SAM Allardyce insists that Rovers must start turning performances into points on the road.

Rovers have picked up just six points away from home this term and Sam is hopeful of taking something from Sunday's clash with Liverpool at Anfield.

"It isn't so much about cracking the away form, it is more about cracking the away results," said the Rovers' chief.

"I think our form has been good on occasions. We know we have had some disasters like Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton and Stoke.

"But the performances at places like Sunderland, Wigan, Hull and West Ham were all well worthy of victories. But, unfortunately, the longer it goes on the harder it is to clinch.

"Anfield is a major venue and a big place to go and get a win, but we will go and try our best.

"We are in good form and there is a lot of confidence in the team at the moment. If we are technically and tactically right and we all stick to that on Sunday we may come away with something."
