MARTIN OLSSON is enjoying the best form of his Rovers career in his new position on the left side of midfield - and is confident he can perform even better.

"My confidence has been high since the start of the season but I just haven't had the chance to play or start the games," he said.

"But I've scored a goal and my confidence has gone up and the manager has said that those who do well keep their place in the team.

"I've been doing well but I can do much better than this and hopefully I can get more games and show everyone that I can play much better.

"I hadn't played that position for a long time and never in training with Sam Allardyce so it was new that he picked me there in the starting line-up at left wing against Fulham.

"I was a little bit nervous, but I went out and did my best.

"I like playing there, I like getting forward and getting the opportunity to create and score goals.

"I've had a few chances to score goals, and this also helps my confidence, hopefully I'll get more chances coming up."
