Olsson boosted by league position

Posted on: Thu 04 Feb 2010

ROVERS may have dropped back into the bottom half of the table earlier this week, but seeing them in the top half after the draw at West Ham United provided yet another boost.

Fulham's 1-0 win over Portsmouth on Wednesday night saw Rovers drop back down from tenth to eleventh in the Barclays Premier League, but that hasn't dampened Martin Olsson's spirits.

"It felt good to come home and see on TV that we were in tenth place," admitted the Swedish under 21.

"It gives you that extra confidence to go and play better next time and to continue to move up the table.

"It was disappointing not to have won against West Ham, but I think we've a few games coming up that I think we can get three points from and if we keep playing like we have done then I don't see any problems."
