KEITH Treacy has left Blackburn Rovers and joined Preston North End.

The Irish winger has joined the Championship club for an undisclosed fee and has signed a two-and-a-half year contract, with an option for a third year.

Treacy had previously spent the season on loan with Sheffield United, but returned to Rovers before Christmas but the former Academy graduate has been unable to force his way into Sam Allardyce's senior squad.

Treacy made 10 starts and 12 substitute appearance during his time with Rovers.
