Season defining period

Posted on: Mon 25 Jan 2010

GOALKEEPER Paul Robinson believes Rovers have to make the most of their forthcoming games to shape their season.

As Rovers prepare to take on Wigan Athletic at Ewood Park on Wednesday evening, the England international feels that the impending run of games can define the club's campaign.

"We need to pick up points the next five or six games," admitted the Rovers number one. "They will really shape our season.

"They will show whether we are going to be fighting relegation again or sitting mid table and looking at a top half finish."

After Wednesday's match against Wigan, Rovers are then away to West Ham United and Stoke City before home games against Hull City and Bolton Wanderers, representing a real chance of picking up important points.

"We have important home games coming up and big away games as well," added Robinson.

"Realistically we have to be looking at taking something from all of those games. Football doesn't always work out like that but we will be looking to take as many points as we possibly can."

Tickets for the Wigan game are on open sale priced from £17 for Adults, £12 Seniors/Club 16-21 Members and £7 for Juniors. Alternatively see the Wigan game and the Hull City game in the WEC Group Darwen End for just £20. For futher details visit www.onerovers.co.uk
