Rovers forward Marcus Marshall has quickly followed in the footsteps of Gavin Gunning in signing for Rotherham United.

Like Gunning, the striker has joined the League Two side on a month-long emergency loan deal.

Marshall has seen his chances restricted at Rovers thus far, with just one Carling Cup substitute appearance to his name to date. But he was involved in Rovers' pre-season match against Dundee United.

The move was completed in time this Saturday morning for Marshall to be involved in their league match against Grimsby Town this afternoon.

This move means three additional players have gone on loan in the last 24 hours, first with Andy Haworth's move to Rochdale, then Gunning and Marshall joining Rotherham United.
