Rovers welcome back Morten Gamst Pedersen and El-Hadji Diouf for Wednesday night's Carling Cup semi-final 2nd leg against Aston Villa.

Pedersen missed Sunday's victory over Fulham with a knock to the knee, but has recovered to take his place in the squad, whilst Diouf is available for selection once again after completing his three match ban following his sending off against Villa in the FA Cup.

Rovers are still without Vince Grella (thigh), Jason Roberts (knee) and Lars Jacobsen (thigh) for the game, but Gaël Givet is fine after coming off in Sunday's 2-0 win.

"Gaël came off on Sunday but he's okay, but we've still got Vince and Jason who are not fit but everyone else is okay," confirmed Sam Allardyce.

Rovers will select from: Robinson, Chimbonda, Samba, Nelsen, Givet, Emerton, Reid, Nzonzi, Olsson, McCarthy, Kalinić, Brown, Dunn, Pedersen, Andrews, Diouf, Hoilett, Di Santo, Salgado, Jones, Rigters.

Tickets for the match go off sale on Wednesday at Ewood Park at 2pm and 12 noon in The Mall, though tickets are on sale at Villa Park.
