Nzonzi expects an exciting game

Posted on: Sun 10 Jan 2010

Midfield star Steven Nzonzi could come face to face with one of his boyhood heros on Monday evening.

For Manchester City have completed the signing of fellow Frenchman Patrick Viera on a six-month loan deal from Inter Milan, and he could be in line to make his debut when Rovers make the short trip to the City of Manchester Stadium.

But for Nzonzi, he'll be taking no notice of the expensively assembled City side, only concentrating on doing his best for Rovers.

"It will be a very hard game, they have a lot of expensive players, but that doesn't concern us," said Nzonzi ahead of the game.

"Patrick Viera is a very big player, a legend in French football, so it would be very nice to play against him.

"It will be an exciting game, but when you are on the pitch it is just eleven v eleven, you try to do your best and to show you are good enough for the team.

"I hope we will take the three points, it is important for us to do so."
