Pascal enjoying his Ewood experience

Posted on: Thu 24 Dec 2009
Defender Pascal Chimbonda insists there is a certain 'je ne sais quoi' about life at Blackburn Rovers.

Pascal is one of five French speakers at the club and he admits that their presence has helped him settle in.

"I'm enjoying it here because there are a lot of Frenchmen here," he said.

"We talk all the time and we know each other very well, so that is a good thing when you play football.

"I'm happy here, everything is good. The manager is confident in me, I'm playing regularly, I'm playing well and I'm looking forward to the future."

In his first four months at the club, Pascal has operated in every position across the back four, but the versatile defender admits he doesn't mind where he plays, so long as he's in the team.

"I play left-back, right-back or in the centre," he added. "I'll play wherever the manager wants to use me, it is no problem.

"I'm right-footed so of course I prefer to play right-back, but if the manager says it is better for the team for me to play left-back I will do it."
