A fair result
Assistant manager Neil McDonald felt that the draw was a fair result as Rovers and Stoke played out a goalless draw at Ewood Park.
Stoke had the better of the first half with Paul Robinson denying Whitehead and Lawrence.
Rovers rallied in the second with Steven Nzonzi hitting the post, Brett Emerton lashed a long-range effort inches wide of the upright, whilst at the death Chris Samba headed Pedersen's centre just wide.
"Over the whole of the game it was probably a fair result," said Neil McDonald on Radio Rovers.
"Although we created a few more chances in the second half than we did in the first it was always going to be a hard game and that showed at the end with the result.
"We are pleased with the clean sheet and pleased with the point, you have to respect the point but we a disappointed that we couldn't break them down.
"Stoke were a difficult team to play against, it was hard to create chances.
"We got a few crosses in today but we didn't get on the end of them, we forced the play in the second half, so those are some positives to take from."
Rovers went into the game off the back of five consecutive victories at Ewood Park, and although they couldn't make it six of the best, McDonald was happy that their unbeaten home run did continue.
"It is vitally important that teams come to Ewood and don't take much away from here. if they take a point away then that is fair enough but we don't want them to take three.
"We are team that is hard to beat at home, we now need to learn to do that on the road."
It was Rovers' third game in six games and McDonald felt that there were some signs of the heavy schedule having an effect.
"I think it showed, we did tire a little bit but we certainly didn't give in.
"We had the game on the Sunday and then we travelled down to Fulham and only got back in the early hours of the morning.
"So the boys have performed really well, it is just the fact that we didn't put the ball in the back of the net or create as many chances as we did against Fulham, but we've come out with a point."
