Loan star round-up

Posted on: Mon 23 Nov 2009

STEVEN Reid made his loan debut for Queens Park Rangers at the weekend but ended the match on the losing side.

The Rovers midfielder made the month-long move to the West London club late last week and was quickly thrown into Jim Magilton's starting eleven for the match away at Doncaster Rovers.

Reid played the full ninety minutes in the centre of the R's midfielder but two second half goals saw the home side claim all three points.

Goalkeeper Mark Bunn played a huge parting in helping Sheffield United end their winless run with a 1-0 victory over Peterborough United at Bramall Lane.

Bunn saved a second half penalty kick to keep the Blades' league intact.

Keith Treacy came on for the last twenty minutes as Kevin Blackwell's side recorded a much-needed victory.

A last-gasp winner from Leicester City condemned Plymouth Argyle to their first defeat in four.

Alan Judge played the entire game at the Walkers Stadium.

Down in League One, Oldham duo Alex Marrow and Nick Blackman both started and finished the match at Boundary Park which saw Colchester United pegged back from a 2-0 lead to finish all square at 2-2.

Andy Haworth played the full ninety as Blue Square Premier side Gateshead recorded a 3-0 win over Grays Athletic.
