Posted on: Fri 13 Nov 2009

Five of Rovers' rising stars are on international duty this Friday with France, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland all having matches.

Also representing his country at under 21 level is Northern Ireland defender Johnny Flynn. The Northern Irish take on Germany in Belfast looking to get their UEFA Under 21 qualification campaign back on track after tasting defeat in their previous three matches.

Starting their UEFA Under 19 qualification action this Friday are Republic of Ireland who are in San Marino for three games over the next five days. Rovers have three representatives in the squad, with their opening match against hosts San Marino taking place later today.

Aaron Doran, Gavin Gunning and Gearoid Morrissey are all included. Defender Callum O'Connor didn't join up with the squad due to a family bereavement.
