Loan star round up

All of the Rovers players out on loan featured for their respective clubs over the weekend.

The Saturday lunchtime match saw Sheffield United on the end of a 3-1 defeat at Glanford Park, Scunthorpe.

Mark Bunn again played in goal for the Blades whilst Keith Treacy came on after an hour as a second half substitute.

Also making an appearance off the bench was Alan Judge as Plymouth lost 2-0 at Blackpool.

The midfielder came on with ten minutes to go but couldn't stop the Pilgrims losing once again.

In the evening match another on loan Rover tasted defeat as Zurab Khizanishvili played the full match for Newcastle United as they lost 1-0 at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest.

Into League One Oldham Athletic lost 3-1 at home to Southampton.

Alex Marrow played the full match for Dave Penney's side, whilst Nick Blackman came on as a second half sub' on 56 minutes.

The last two Rovers listed in this round-up did finish on the winning side.

MK Dons maintained their impressive start to the season with a 2-0 win over Gillingham.

Aaron Doran played the first 56 minutes of the match at Stadium MK.

In the Blue Square Premier Chester City picked up a much needed away win at Gateshead.

Defender Johnny Flynn, who joined Jim Harvey's side on Friday, played the full match as Chester got their first away win of the season with the 2-0 result.
