Paul Gallagher has signed a permanent deal with Championship side Leicester City.

The former Academy graduate has completed a three year deal with the East Midlands club for an undisclosed fee.

From his senior debut for the club against Arsenal back in March 2003, the forward made 74 appearances during his time at Ewood, scoring 8 goals. The Scottish international has enjoyed loan spells with Stoke City, Preston North End and last season at Plymouth Argyle.

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce confirmed the move: "Paul's desire to play regularly has probably made the decision easy for us and for him.

"Rather than be a squad player here, he wants to go and play some football. It is a good move for him."
