Blackburn Rovers have confirmed a friendly fixture against Cambridge United, as the club's pre-season preparations continue to take shape.

Sam Allardyce's side will face the Blue Square Premier outfit at the Trade Recruitment Stadium on Tuesday July 14th (kick-off 7.45pm).

The U's narrowly missed out on promotion to the Football League last month after losing in the play-off final at Wembley for the second season running.

Having already announced games against Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday, Rovers hope to release their full summer itinerary very shortly.
