Fielding back in the play-offs

Posted on: Thu 07 May 2009

Rovers goalkeeper Frank Fielding will be in League Two play-off action this evening when Rochdale take on Gillingham at Spotland.

No wins in their last four outings saw Keith Hill's side miss out on the chance of an automatic promotion spot, finishing in 6th place in the league.

Ironically the two sides met just last weekend in the final league game of the season with Gillingham winning that match 1-0.

Frank Fielding has made 23 appearances for the Dale this season, and has had his loan deal extended to cover the two play-off matches against the Kent side. The 21-year-old will be hoping for better fortune this season after tasting play-off heartache for Wycombe Wanderers last year.
