Sam: No setback

Posted on: Mon 16 Mar 2009

Sam Allardyce doesn't believe Saturday's defeat at the hands of Arsenal will affect the side in the final nine games of the season.

Rovers were on the end of a heavy 4-0 defeat at the Emirates Stadium, but the Rovers boss believes it was the victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage the previous Wednesday evening that was the more important result of the two away trips.

"I don't think it is so bad, it is disappointing but the key result for us was the three points at Fulham," said Allardyce.

"Anything we had gotten from Arsenal would have been an outstanding bonus for us."

Rovers are back in action on Saturday at Ewood Park when they take on West Ham United. Tickets are on open sale for the game with prices starting from just £16.60 for Adults, £11.70 for Seniors 65 and over and Club 16-21 Members and just £6.85 for Juniors under 16.
