Sam Allardyce believes moving Stephen Warnock back into the midfield role he played earlier in the season has been the reason for Rovers' up turn in fortunes.
Rovers are unbeaten in their last three league games, since the 27-year-old moved back into the middle of the side, with away wins over Hull City and last night against Fulham, and a draw at home to Everton.
"Stephen Warnock is the driving force for us at the moment," enthused Allardyce. "He is driving everybody on with his performances.
"Obviously all the lads are responding to that and it was one hell of a result for us against Fulham."
The Rovers midfielder could easily have had a hat-trick at Craven Cottage last night. Denied in the first half when his curling effort hit the inside of the post but bounced away to safety. The second half saw him twice hit what seemed sure fire goalbound efforts only for Mark Schwarzer to pull off two stunning saves.
"It was unbelievable. He's been a revelation since he moved into midfield. Not only has he been creative but he's been on the end of some good moves.
"The quality of his finishing was outstanding but he still hasn't scored a goal which is quite miraculous.
"The one that has hit the inside of the post and then two unbelievable saves from Schwarzer made it look like we would have to just settle for the point.
"But Jason, one of the strongest lads in the Premier League, rolls the defender and drives it into the back of the net."
