SAM Allardyce will make full use of his squad when Rovers go looking to make the quarter-finals of the FA Cup tomorrow.

With many players "fatigued" after travelling around the world on international duty, El-Hadji Diouf cup-tied, Aaron Mokoena suspended and Brett Emerton and Steven Reid long-term injury absentees, the Rovers boss admits that he will have to shuffle the pack.

"At times like this you are often best playing players who are fresh and ready rather than those who have been travelling and playing.

"There will be opportunities for some of the more fringe players tomorrow, but that is not because we are taking the FA Cup lightly - quite the opposite.

"I believe a good cup run can only help our league form, providing you don't suffer any major injuries to key players, and we have played three tough games to get this far. We want to get to the last eight, then things will start to get really exciting."
