Too many draws - Sam

Posted on: Sat 31 Jan 2009

Sam Allardyce admitted that Rovers are making life difficult for themselves by not converting their chances.

Rovers stretched their unbeaten run to eight games with a goalless stalemate at the Riverside Stadium - but big Sam is concerned that his side aren't turning draws into wins.

Sam said: "I feel like we've lost here today. To only come away with a point is bitterly disappointing.

"I feel like we've thrown away another opportunity to get a victory. We just can't find that ruthless edge at the moment.

"We're on a great undefeated run, but we've had too many draws and that keeps us in a very difficult position, because other teams are picking up wins.

"To be undefeated in six Premier League games is a great achievement, but it should have been at least four wins and two draws - and today should have been one of those wins.

"I don't think Paul Robinson has had a save to make in 95 minutes. We completely nullified their attacking threat, we've gone up the other end and created countless chances, but you've got to give their keeper credit."
