Blackburn Rovers have this morning completed the signing of Gaël Givet from Olympique Marseille.
The 27-year-old has signed on loan for the remainder of this season with the club having an option to purchase the defender.
Givet, who is able to play at left-back or in the centre of defence, started his career with AS Monaco, spending ten seasons at the club from the principality before moving to Olympique Marseille in June 2007.
A French international with 13 caps, Givet made 49 appearances for OM last season including 5 outings in the Champions League. But a fallout with manager Erik Gerets meant that Givet hasn't made a first team appearance this campaign.
The club now await international clearance.
