IT was a weekend of frustration for the Rovers players out on loan across the country.

The three players on loan with Championship sides, Paul Gallagher, Eddie Nolan and Maceo Rigters were all on the losing side. Plymouth losing 1-0 at Doncaster, Preston 2-0 at Cardiff, and Barnsley 1-0 at home to Reading. Gallagher played the full match for Plymouth, Rigters was a late sub' for Barnsley but Nolan was an unused substitute for Preston.

Frankie Fielding fared slightly better for Northampton Town in League One as they drew 1-1 at Sixfields against Leyton Orient.

The bad weather meant no games for Accrington Stanley or Mortherwell. But non-league Vauxhall Motors beat Stafford Rangers 1-0, Martin McCubbin coming on as a late substitute, whilst Conor Kavanagh didn't feature as Clitheroe lost 3-2 away at Wakefield.
