JASON Roberts has expressed his delight after signing a new contract with the club.

The former Wigan and West Brom striker has penned a three-year deal, which ties him to Rovers until the summer of 2011.

Happy to get his long-term future sorted out, Jason said: "I signed a new contract a couple of days ago so that is all done and dusted and I can concentrate on my future now.

"I've been happy since I've been here so I'm delighted that it's now signed, sealed and delivered, and I hope to show the best of my abilities on the pitch.

"It's for another three seasons so I'm very happy with that. I feel good, I feel strong, and I feel like I've got a lot of experience so hopefully it will all come together now."

Jason has scored 12 goals in 65 appearances in all competitions since he joined Rovers from Wigan in the summer of 2006.
