Villa are full of threats
AS Rovers prepare for tomorrow's Premier League clash away to Aston Villa, Stephen Warnock has singled out the opponent's England internationals for special praise.
Warnock, who earned his first cap for his country in the friendly against Trinidad and Tobago in June, believes Gabriel Agbonlahor and Ashley Young both have bright futures ahead of them on the international stage.
"They have very good players," said the new midfield man. "I fully think that Gabriel Agbonlahor and Ashley Young should be in the England squad every time.
"I also feel Young should probably play. It's not my place to say, but he is such a good player, has such good ability and having trained with him over the summer you see how much of a better player he is than you actually think.
"He's a class act and Agbonlahor has blistering pace and can cause you all kinds of trouble. John Carew is a handful too with his height and pace, and he has great feet for a big guy too.
"So they've got great options and whoever comes in and plays will be very tough for the boys to defend against.
"When you look at their team you can't really put a formation on it because they are here, there and everywhere. Agbonlahor is popping up on the right and the left and Young is doing the same. Gareth Barry plays wherever he wants - he's such a good player he fits in anywhere.
"It is great for the English game. They've got great players and it is a good thing that they've come together and they can play as a team as well - they aren't just good individuals."
