Ince praise for Warnock
PAUL Ince insists he would have no qualms in using Stephen Warnock as an emergency midfielder once again this weekend after he excelled in that position in the Carling Cup.
With a number of key midfielders unavailable against Everton on Wednesday night, the Rovers boss decided to play 'Warny' in the centre of the park - a move which paid handsome dividends as he struck-up an immediate understanding with Tugay.
In fact, the 'experiment' proved so successful, the manager says he would have no hesitation in doing something similar again in the future if circumstances demanded it.
The Rovers chief said: "I thought he was absolutely awesome. To go in that role and look so comfortable
was great.
"To be fair, he has all the attributes to play in that position.
"As a left back he is always looking to get forward, his passing is second to none, and he can tackle, so he's ideal to play in that role.
"I just think he enjoyed it on Wednesday, he really embraced the role and didn't look out of place.
"I thought he was fantastic to be fair."
