THREE young Rovers will be hoping to get some more international experience under their belts when the Republic of Ireland Under-21s take on Bulgaria in Sofia later today.

With Ireland now unable to qualify for next summer's European Championship finals, boss Don Givens has named a young 18-man squad for the latest round of fixtures, which includes Keith Treacy, Alan Judge and Eddie Nolan.

Treacy captained and scored in Ireland's 1-1 draw with Austria last month, but all three will be hoping to make an impression against bottom-of-the-table Bulgaria tonight (kick-off 5.30pm).

Elsewhere in Group 3, leaders England will be without Matt Derbyshire for their game against second-placed Portugal after the Rovers striker picked up a slight groin strain in training earlier this week.

Similarly, Martin Olsson, who scored two goals for Rovers reserves on his comeback from injury on Monday, has not joined up with tournament hosts Sweden for tonight's friendly against Poland.
