Rovers take on NAC Breda

Posted on: Fri 08 Aug 2008

After a three month absence Ewood Park plays host to football once again on Saturday when Rovers play their final pre-season friendly match.

Dutch side NAC Breda provide the opposition as boss Paul Ince takes charge of his first game at Ewood Park.

Breda finished third in last season's Dutch league and gained a place in the Intertoto Cup in their end of season play-offs, but last month saw them knocked out of the competition by Norwegian side Rosenborg.

As well as a new face on the bench, Saturday's match could be the first opportunity for fans to see new summer signings Paul Robinson and Danny Simpson, however Chilean international Carlos Villanueva isn't expected to feature as he recovers from illness.

Kick-off at Ewood Park is 3.00pm, fans are advised to get down to Ewood Park early on Saturday as a large walk up on the day is expected and as such queues at the ticket office are expected to be lengthy, therefore the Darwen End ticket office will also be open selling unreserved seating in areas S01 and S02 of the Darwen End.

The ticket office will also only be selling tickets for the Breda game in the run up to kick-off, fans wishing to purchase tickets for Everton or Hull City can do so after the game.

Admission prices are £12 for Adults and £5 for concessions.
