Premier ambitions
RISING star Alan Judge is loving every minute of being part of the first-team picture.
The 19-year-old, along with Bryan Hodge and Frank Fielding, are away with the first team on their pre-season camp for the first time.
At their base in Southern Germany the players are undergoing gruelling double training sessions in a bid to get ready for the big Premier League kick-off in less than a month's time, but Judge certainly isn't complaining.
"So far it has been very good, the weather is starting to pick up so it is getting harder because of the heat, but I'm enjoying it so far," said the Dubliner.
"With a new manager coming in it means a new start for everyone so I just have to prove myself, the new gaffer has already given me a chance by playing me against Macclesfield so I was very happy enough to get 45 minutes there, he has shown he is willing to give youth a bit of a chance."
After making his senior bow in the pre-season friendly win over Macclesfield Town last Monday, Judge is now focused on being part of Ince's first-team squad on a regular basis.
"My aim for the season is to be involved, maybe get on the bench and hopefully get five or ten minutes in the first team. We'll see how it goes, it depends on how we do in the league and we'll take it from there."
With the ability to play in the centre on the park, out wide and even further forward up front, Judge is hoping that his versatility will help him realise his ambition of playing Premier League football.
"It could help me because I can play in midfield, and at the end of last year I was playing up front," added Judge. "But I'll play wherever the gaffer sees fit to play me. I'd like to play where I did at the end of last year, just off the front man as I was scoring goals, I was very happy to play there but I'll play wherever he wants me to play."
