ROVERSTORE set to open - away kit launch delayed
THE wait is almost over for Blackburn Rovers supporters... as the club gets set to unveil an exciting new retail outlet at Ewood Park.
Senior players will officially open the stunning new-look ROVERSTORE at nine o'clock on Saturday morning (July 12th) after a major refurbishment.
However, one part of the planned celebration - the launch of the new away kit - has had to be delayed due to a manufacturing problem involving kit supplier Umbro.
Umbro Director of Football Simon Marsh said: "As a partner of the club it is with regret that we have placed the club and its fans in a situation whereby the intended launch of the new away kit has had to be delayed. We accept full responsibility and can only apologise for the inconvenience this may cause."

ROVERSTORE, which is now back under control of the club, has undergone an extensive re-development, aiming to capture a high street feel combined with a return to the Rovers ethos of old.
The new online retail operation www.onerovers.co.uk will also be launched on Saturday.
Rovers' Managing Director Tom Finn said: "We are very excited by the new ROVERSTORE. It looks impressive and we believe it will prove a big hit with our supporters.
"A lot of thought has gone into the design and planning and fans will be able to see and judge for themselves from Saturday morning. Our retail department has put together a stock of merchandising and leisurewear, but we stress that the items, both in store and online, will be limited to start with. All ranges will be expanded over the coming weeks.
"It is obviously disappointing that the away kit launch has had to be delayed, through matters outside our control, but we are working closely with Umbro to firm up a new date for later in the month.
"The launch of our new home shirt remains on course for mid-August and we will keep everyone informed whenever definite arrangements are agreed."
